P01: Vibe Code: Create Custom Learning Experiences Without Knowing Code
Traditional authoring tools have made it easier to build eLearning, but they also impose limits. Instructional designers, trainers, and content creators often find themselves constrained by predefined templates, interaction types, and feature sets that prevent them from fully bringing their ideas to life. When a desired interaction falls outside those built-in capabilities, creating it has historically required programming knowledge or accepting compromises in the learning design. This has created a persistent skills gap—where great ideas exist, but the technical ability to build them remains out of reach for many content creators.
This workshop introduces vibe coding (AI-powered development) as a practical solution to bridge that gap. Vibe coding allows anyone—not just programmers—to use natural language to guide AI in creating fully custom learning interactions, games, and applications. Instead of relying on coding expertise, you’ll learn how to communicate your intent clearly so AI can help build what you envision. The session will help you understand the mental models, components, and workflows behind vibe coding; you'll learn how to generate, refine, and implement custom learning experiences. You’ll also learn how these experiences can integrate seamlessly into tools like Rise and Storyline or exist independently, expanding what’s possible within your current learning ecosystem.
Through hands-on practice and real examples, you’ll see how vibe coding empowers content creators to move beyond the traditional limitations of authoring tools and technical skill barriers.
