Discover how AI can transform the course development process, making it faster and more efficient.

This workshop explores the latest AI tools and techniques that streamline instructional design, from content analysis to writing and storyboarding. Learn how to leverage AI to produce high-quality, engaging courses with reduced development time. Through practical examples and hands-on activities, you will gain the skills to integrate AI into your instructional design workflow, enhancing both speed and quality. By the end of the session, you'll be equipped with the knowledge to harness AI for creating impactful learning experiences efficiently.

The day starts with an overview of ADDIE as our framework for integrating AI into instructional design. We will explore the AI landscape, highlighting tools and discussing their relevance to different stages of the ADDIE model. Next, we study the critical skill of prompt engineering. Using insights from the prompt engineering section, we move into the Analysis phase, where you will apply your skills to analyzing learning needs and content through AI-assisted techniques. This includes using AI to identify key learning objectives and content gaps. We’ll address ways to apply AI in crafting learning objectives, content outlines, and storyboard designs in the Design phase. Moving into the Development phase, we look at the use of AI to create and assemble instructional materials, covering multimedia content creation, scenario development, and assessment design. The workshop concludes with a discussion on AI ethics and skills for the future.
