803: Purpose-Paced Leadership: A Practical Framework for Leading Learning in the Age of AI and Overload

November 6, 2026 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Learning leaders are under intense pressure—AI adoption, skills-based strategies, and rising expectations for speed are colliding with limited capacity. In response, many L&D teams fall into constant execution mode, where overloaded strategies, burnout, and false signals of progress become the norm.

Purpose-paced leadership offers a more disciplined path. It helps leaders intentionally choose when to accelerate, when to pause, and where to focus—aligning purpose, pace, and capacity to drive sustainable impact rather than reactive output.

In this interactive session, you’ll apply a practical framework from Beyond the Grind to a current learning initiative. Using a structured decision canvas, you’ll identify where pace is undermining effectiveness, clarify priorities, and explore smarter approaches to AI adoption, skills strategies, and build-versus-buy decisions—leaving with a tool you can immediately use in real-world conversations and design choices.

In this session you will learn:

  • How to apply a purpose-paced framework to real L&D decisions
  • To diagnose where speed is reducing impact and clarity
  • How to prioritize learning initiatives without increasing overload
  • To align AI, skills, and capability choices with strategic goals

This session includes facilitated discussion and hands-on framework application. No laptop of specific software required.
