601: BYOD: Adaptive Without the Platform: Building Personalized Learning Paths in Storyline

November 5, 2026 2:45 pm - 3:30 pm

Many organizations want adaptive learning but lack the platforms to support it. The result is static courses that treat every learner the same. This session demonstrates how to simulate adaptive learning within Articulate Storyline using native tools and advanced conditional logic.

You will learn how to design rule-based pathways, track learner decisions through variables, personalize feedback, and dynamically adjust content difficulty. Instead of relying on expensive systems, you’ll build cost-effective adaptive structures that increase relevance and transfer. During this session, you will analyze a live multipath build and map your own adaptive logic structure using a guided template.

In this session, you will learn to:

  • Design rule-based adaptive pathways using variables
  • Track and respond to learner behavior dynamically
  • Personalize feedback and increase relevance
  • Simulate adaptive systems using standard authoring tools

Attendees should be proficient with Storyline triggers, layers, and basic variables. This session focuses on advanced conditional logic and multivariable tracking to simulate adaptive systems.
