Julie Dirksen is the author of one of the bestselling instructional design books Design for How People Learn (over 80K copies sold), Talk to the Elephant: Design Learning for Behavior Change and her new book Design For How People Build Skills. She is an internationally recognized speaker and conference presenter.

She is a learning strategy consultant with a focus on incorporating behavioral science into learning interventions.She works with clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to innovative technology startups to major grant-funded research initiatives.

Her MS degree is in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University. She’s been an adjunct faculty member at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and is a Learning Guild Guildmaster.

She’s happiest whenever she gets to learn something new.
