501: BYOD: Reclaim Your Creative Spark: Partner with AI to Create Code Blocks in Rise

November 5, 2026 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm

We’ve all seen it: learning content that feels robotic, missing the human touch. When we rely too much on AI to do the thinking for us, it’s easy to feel like we’re losing the creative spark that made us love this field. This session is about putting you, the human designer, back in the driver's seat. You know your learners best, and it’s time to use that expertise to lead the way.

In this hands-on BYOD session, we will treat AI as a helpful coding partner—while you drive the strategy. We’ll use a human-first design template to move past simple quizzes and create digital environments that feel real. Using a Show-Do model, we will focus on the specific actions learners need to take and the feelings that drive those actions. This is a high-energy session built around micro-sprints. I’ll demonstrate a creative step, and you will immediately apply it to your own challenge. You will learn how to ask AI for the technical code to bring your idea to life and then plug it into Rise 360 using simple code blocks. No coding experience is needed; we will use templates to handle the heavy lifting. You will leave with a working activity you built yourself and the confidence to lead with your unique expertise.

In this session, you will learn to:

  • Map the "human pulse" of any goal by identifying exactly what learners need to do, know, and feel to succeed
  • Draft a "Show-Do" activity blueprint that mirrors a learner’s real-world environment
  • Collaborate with AI as a technical partner to create the specific code logic that supports your human strategy
  • Build a functional, action-driven activity in Rise 360 using simple code blocks that standard tools can't produce on their own

This session makes advanced, custom interactions accessible without technical barriers. Attendees should be comfortable with the Articulate Rise 360 interface and familiar with using Generative AI for brainstorming. While we use code to drive these activities, no coding experience is required.
