Aaron Barlin is an instructional designer, writer, and educator whose work sits at the intersection of classroom practice and workplace learning. He holds a Master's in Education Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Aaron began his career as a high school English teacher, and by his third year in the classroom, he had moved from lead teacher to districtwide instructional coach, training colleagues in social justice teaching and social-emotional learning.

In 2022, Aaron founded Elynndi, a learning and development agency led by teachers. Across 30+ clients, he and his team have helped organizational leaders "think like a teacher" to achieve their most sophisticated goals. Aaron's writing on organizational learning has appeared in the Learning Guild, Training Industry, and Fast Company. He has published a full course on Electives.io where he serves as an ongoing facilitator for management teams, and he hosts "Ask It Like You Mean It," a podcast where Aaron asks big questions to big thinkers—the central practice of inquiry that drives learning.

Aaron has served as a graduate-school field supervisor at a Sacramento-based school of education, coaching new teachers through their credentialing years and currently tutors neurodivergent high school students, whose needs directly inform his work on accessibility in adult learning. Looking ahead, Aaron is especially interested in how organizations onboard workers across linguistic, cultural, and cognitive difference—a line of inquiry he plans to extend through doctoral research.
