Tracks: Virtual Classrooms

The year 2021 found organizations that adapted to virtual delivery struggling with lackluster learning due to inadequate design practices, non-skilled instructors, and limited tool capability. The year 2022 brought on the need to go to hybrid solutions. Although organizations continue to make it work, engagement today has plateaued and learners are expecting more from their virtual or hybrid experiences. So, what does this mean for virtual classroom delivery moving forward?

In this session we illuminate ways to enhance practices to build more resilient virtual and hybrid instructor-led programs. This includes upskilling employees, designing for alternative solutions, and deploying procedural strategies for healthier engagement opportunities. We explore best practices and “behind-the-screens” instruction on creating what could be deemed the new “blended learning.” Examine techniques that supplement standard engagement activities typically used as part of virtual classrooms and discover alternative solutions for hybrid collaborative experiences.

In this session, you will learn:

  • The six guiding principles for adapting to virtual or hybrid delivery
  • Supplemental engagement techniques that do not involve a virtual classroom
  • Alternative collaboration solutions, the new “blend”
  • Behind-the-screens production best practices and tips to implement at the enterprise level
  • Strategies for upskilling designers, SME’s, facilitators, producers, and learners for stronger programming
